What Can Honey Do To You?
by rima - Thursday, 6 March 2008, 04:03 PM
Anyone in the world

By Riana D Lance If you feel exhausted and want something fresh to release all your fatigue, why don't you take a teaspoonful of honey and add to your tea, then drink it. You are going to feel better then. It's not difficult to find honey as it is easy to get and available everywhere in the market. In fact, honey has been a part of the commodity in the ancient century. They used honey for different purposes such as for health treatment, food and beverage, and other useful matters. Nobody has doubts the usefulness of this sweet viscous fluid produced by bees. Honey makes a good alternative to sugar in food and beverages. Honey is a source of nutrition. It contains many enzymes, vitamins, minerals and amino acids, as well as fructose, glucose, and water. In addition, honey also contains antioxidants that can fight free radical from human body. Free radical are molecules that attack human healthy cells. Current research on honey has shown its beneficial as an antimicrobial agent that can treat different kinds of ailments. The most common use of honey as an antimicrobial agent is to treat wounds, burns and skin ulcers. Honey can also help seasonal pollen allergies. Consuming a teaspoonful of honey a day for a few months can boost your immune before the allergy season (mostly during autumn) comes. Thanks to the bees, people can taste the sweetness of honey and take the benefits out of it to improve human's health. Probably bees are the most helpful insect to human as they produce not only honey, but also something related to honey. Let's see what they are: Royal Jelly - This is the most nutritious food for the queen bees throughout her life. Luckily, human can take out and consume some of it. Its tastes a little bit bitter, but has so many benefits. It's rich in vitamins, minerals, proteins, amino acid and antibiotic. It can enhance immunity; prevent arthritis and multiple sclerosis; treat asthma; slow down the signs of aging; stimulate hair growth etc. Beeswax - It's a product from the abdomen of the worker bees. Worker bees have some glands on the inner sides of the ventral shield or plate of each segment of the body. The beeswax is useful to make lipstick, capsule, balm, body lotion, candles or as a wood polish or floor polish. Bee Pollen -- It's the male seed of a flower blossom that is gathered by the bees. Whoever consumes bee pollen may have more vitality in life. Most athletes like bee pollen because it sustains and enhances their quality performances. For ordinary people, bee pollen can stimulate organs and glands, rejuvenates human body, and brings about a longer life span.
As you can see, all the products "made" by the bees are beneficial for our health. Why don't you try them for your health sake. Riana Lance writes about health in some publications. Alpha-Blockers As Anti-Hypertensive
by rima - Wednesday, 5 March 2008, 02:33 PM

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Milos_Pesic] Milos Pesic Alpha-blockers, like beta-blockers, are not meant to be used as an initial treatment to hypertension. This is because alpha-blockers must be used in consonance with other anti-hypertensive agents. Alpha-blockers are used for medication of systolic and diastolic hypertension as well as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Despite its ability to combat adverse effects of hypertension as first-line treatment, experts recommend alpha-blockers to be good in lipid improvement and glucose level management in diabetic patients. Alpha-blockers work by helping to ease and relax the prostate muscles and accommodate the continuous flow of urine out of the bladder. This process however cannot be done alone and that is medication of other blood pressure lowering agents must also be applied to a hypertension patient. Alpha-blockers are taken orally once or twice a day. Not all alpha-blockers are specified for high blood pressure cases. Products like alfuzosin and tamsulosin are the exceptions. Doctors also recommend the use of alpha-blockers to patients who have been previously treated with other anti-hypertensives. Diuretics for example induce frequent urination to patients. Alpha-blockers work very well with male patients as suggested by the study of the American Urological Association or AUA that showed remarkable improvement of urinal activity in patients in 2- 3 weeks time. To harness more of the treating potential of alpha-blockers drug interaction must be considered. The National Institutes of Health of NIH in the United States report that a dual in take of doxazosin (an alpha-blocker) and finasteride (another agent) can lower the risk of worsening its side effects. The side effects of alpha-blockers are dependent on dosage and background of a patient. Erectile dysfunction however is not one of them. * Weakness * Fainting and dizziness * Headaches * Nasal Congestion Further studies have recently shown superiority of other anti-hypertensive agents to alpha-blockers. One study reported that in a test of four agents, alpha-blockers do not seem to have exuded advantage over the others. There was no significant variation of side effects also found in the four agents in terms of worsening conditions. In a separate lab re-evaluation by a large organization called Antihypertensive and Lipid-Lowering Treatment to Prevent Heart Attack Trial (ALLHAT), alpha-blockers are to be used as the initial medication otherwise used as treatment for both high blood pressure and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Another review however revealed that alpha-blockers exhibit more dizziness and fainting side effects on patients than other anti-hypertensive. This can be prevented, though, by starting with low dosage. A Look Into Mobile Phone Promotional Codes
by rima - Monday, 3 March 2008, 08:55 PM

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Brian_D._Hawkins]Brian D. Hawkins Some of the major providers like Verizon, Tracphone, Nextel and T-Mobile offer mobile phone promotional codes but require that you sign up for a two-year agreement to take advantage of their mobile phone deals. Even if these mobile phone deals look good, many of these mobile phones do not provide reasonable international rates like a quality Mobile phone calling card will. Along with the binding agreements and the lack of international rates some of these promotional codes are very confusing and are not user friendly. While we are on the subject of mobile phone promotional codes and calling cards, lets talk about the benefits of switching from a normal mobile phone contract to a mobile phone calling card with good phone card rates. Below are only a few of many reasons why it may be a good idea to make the switch. Good international rates With many mobile phone contracts you have to pay quite a lot more just so you can make an international call without emptying your bank account. With mobile phone calling cards this is no longer a problem. They provide very cheap international calls as well as domestic long distance rates. No contracts mobile phone contracts can be a real nuisance especially when you find another contract with better rates or service. Switching to a mobile phone calling card eliminates this nuisance. There are no contracts and there is nothing restricting you from switching to another provider if you find better rates or features. No long distance roaming When you go on vacation you never think too much about your phone bill. When you return from vacation you may be very reluctant to take a look at the long distance roaming charges for your Mobile phone. Mobile phone calling cards have no roaming charges. In some instances you may actually pay less while on vacation for your long distance International calls. You may also want to think about the telecom savings you can find online. Many of the great long distance promotions and rates for mobile phone calling cards can be found online rather than at your local retail store. Now that you have learned some of the pros and cons to mobile phone promotional codes and Mobile phone calling cards you can now make an informed decision. Whether you choose the next Mobile phone promotional code you see or not, be sure to keep this valuable information in your head for future reference. Nokia 8800 Gold - Adding On To Your Fashion Quotient

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Amanda_Dorthy]Amanda Dorthy Nokia has constantly presented its customers phones that offer up-to-the-minute technologies together with style and class. The latest addition to their series is the Nokia 8800 Gold. With a lavish sheathing of 18-carat gold, the minutely crafted Nokia 8800 Sirocco Gold combines a stunning design with a modern-day flair, which reflects personal style and elegance. A dazzling feat of craftsmanship, the fine white gold touch compliments the real 18-carat gold plating. The sapphire-coated scratch-resistant glass display adds on to the exquisiteness of the Nokia 8800 Gold. A fanciful handset with a 208x208 pixel display, 2 megapixel camera, 262k color, sapphire coated color LCD display, a 128 Mb memory, Bluetooth, an MP3 player and FM radio to add on to the entertainment element. With a scratch resistant screen, the 8800 Gold handset assures a defined functionality with style. The Nokia 8800 Gold is a fairly heavy handset at 139 grams, measuring 107 x 46 x 17mm. It is cited to have 2 hours 45 minutes talktime and up to 10 days standby time. An identical color desk stand with a matching color Bluetooth headset is included in the pack. This highly luxurious phone gives the impression that it has been designed for the specialty class who would not mind indulging in this pretty expensive phone. With the launch of the Gold edition it seems that mans ultimate fascination with gold has finally got the chance to be used as a glistening style statement. Though technologically this is not Nokias best product, you would still feel pampered by the touch of the gold in your phone because that is exactly what you're paying for when you purchase this extra stylish phone. While the Nokia 8800 Gold is an elegant phone to look at, the inside is rather disappointing. There is no such assurance whether the Nokia 8800 Gold will be available worldwide or not, but given our large number of medallion mass, it looks like that there is an elevated possibility that it will get launched. If you have a fetish for gold it is of some worth to check out the phone -- but then this is one phone that looks astounding from the outside but the inside might not be equally charming. An Angler's Last Request

By Jim Dourney Quite often the time I spend fishing has very little to do with actually catching fish. Mostly, it is about being alone with my thoughts and letting my mind unwind from work, traffic and the other stresses that that wear me down. Just a few hours casting a plug can change a miserable day into nothing more than a slight annoyance; rejuvenating mind, body and spirit so I can face any new challenges with a fresh outlook. I guess you could say that the Indian River Lagoon is my church. When I'm wading as the sunset turns the sky crimson, gold, pinks and purples, the ospreys soar overhead and schools of mullet move across the calm water, I am at peace. I never feel closer to God than in those moments. At times like that, it's an odd feeling to wish someone was there share it with, but at the same time to be happy you're alone. If you share my point of view, the next time your spouse catches you sneaking off with rod in hand simply explain to them that you are going to church. How can they possibly object? The Indian River is in my soul. It flows through me like the tides. So, when I'm gone, if you find a little cove where the osprey stands guard from a tall tree, the mullet are nervous and the sun puts on a show every afternoon, spread my ashes there because I will be home. Estate Planning - Estate Taxes
by rima - Thursday, 28 February 2008, 04:26 PM
Anyone in the world

By Ronald Hudkins Estate tax, or the death tax as it is sometimes referred to, is an issue often bandied about at election time. If the innuendoes of the sound bites are to be believed, the instant someone dies, the government collects a huge amount of tax from the estate just as a general principle. The specter of estate tax is looming in the corner of every hospital room in America, or so goes the story, waiting to deprive widows of their husbands hard-earned pensions and children of their college funds, if Mr. X is not elected to Congress or the White House. While it is true that a decrease in estate tax benefits the wealthiest two percent of Americans, it is also true that only the wealthiest two percent of Americans are subject to estate tax to begin withat least under present law. Estate taxes are taxes assessed on property transferred at the time of death. They are based on the gross estate, including real estate, insurance, trusts, annuities, cash, business interests, securities, and all other assets. The items are not assessed at their value at the time they were purchased, but rather at their fair market value at the time of death. For example, if you purchased a home for $50,000 in 1970 and the value of the property has appreciated in the meantime to be worth $175,000 based on sales of comparable properties in the same neighborhood, estate taxes would be assessed on the present worth of $175,000. Once the gross estate is calculated, applicable deductions are subtracted from that value. Deductions include property that passes to surviving spouses, mortgages and other debts, and estate administration expenses. In some cases the value of operating business interests or farms may be reduced, according to the IRS, for estates that qualify. The value arrived at after deductions is referred to as the taxable estate. Lifetime gifts are added back in and an available unified credit is applied before the estate tax is actually assessed. The good news for most of us is that your taxable estate, as an individual, must exceed $1,000,000 for estate tax to apply, as the law currently stands. The federal Tax Act of 2001 changed several provisions of the law regarding estate taxes. The rate at which estate taxes were assessed in 2001 was 55% of the gross estate less all applicable exemptions. The 2001 Tax Act began stepping estate taxes down gradually in 2002 to the present rate of 46% in 2006 and on down to 0% in 2010. The premise behind the 2001 Tax Act is that some of the revenue lost to the U.S. Government through reduction and eventual abolishment of the estate tax will be recouped by capital gains taxes that your heirs will have to pay if and when they dispose of the property bequeathed to them. Prior to 2001, heirs automatically received a full basis step-up to fair market value on inherited property and did not have to pay capital gains tax when they sold the property. At present, heirs do not enjoy that benefit. If, for example, you paid $60,000 for five acres of land in 1965 and you leave it to your son or daughter when you die. The son or daughter sells the land for $200,000 in 2006 and has to pay capital gains tax on $140,000, or the difference between what you paid for it at the time of purchase and the fair market value at the time it was sold. Needless to say, estate tax issues are extremely complicated and, if you fall into the category of wealth that would require payment of estate taxes on your demise, be sure to discuss them with your attorney or other estate planner. Make-up Foundation - Today's Wonder
by rima - Wednesday, 27 February 2008, 08:38 PM
Anyone in the world

By Zoran Gajic While I was still lying in my bed this morning and it was so hard to lift my body, I was thinking about foundations. This is the time during the day when I usually get the most wicked ideas. But this time I was thinking what would happen if foundation would simply disappear from this world. That no girls would wear foundation anymore. Could you imagine what would happen? Can you imagine all the Hollywood movies and all the blister and fame they have. What would happen with that, when all the supermodels would suddenly show all those pimples and acne? There is more to this. Camera and strong lights when shooting movies reveal every skin condition there is. Suddenly all the actors would look 5, 10, 15, maybe 20 years older. I would feel old. Actually I think that suddenly watching movies would feel like I waked up in a world that is 20 years later from yesterday. Maybe I would even go crazy and start pulling my hair, what do you think? I'm a make-up artist. I put foundation on girls daily. This is the part of make-up that takes me the most of my precious time. It takes me like 10-15 minutes to apply foundation and all concealer stuff, to hide blemishes, redness and to make other corrections. Suddenly if foundation would disappear from this world, I would probably lose my job. Even if I could still apply eyeshadows, lipsticks and blushes, without foundation it would be all worthless. Well at least for most of the girls. Not all girls like using foundation, but lately I notice that more and more girls use them. It seems like acne actually has gone worse in the past few years. I don't know is it polluted air, junk food we eat but all these things show on our skin. Even more and more guys use foundation lately, not me though. I think cosmetics, specially foundation is a today's new age wonder. Millions if not billions of girls use it to make them look more beautiful, and they do look better. This means when you walk into a store and cute young girl smiles at you, you just can't resist to buy whatever she sells to you. This means even if you feel bad and want to yell at everyone, when you wait in line in bank for 40 minutes to finally get for what you came for, you just want to yell at that person behind the glass. But when you see that nice smile and gorgeous looking girl that looks at you, you just can't do anything else but smile back. Isn't that a wonder? What would happen if those girls would have big nasty pimples and didn't cover them with foundation? Wouldn't that make you act differently? That's what I was thinking about this morning. Foundation has become an item used every day like mobile phones. We don't think much about how it changes our life. It is very important to know the right technique to apply foundation. Because otherwise it may not look natural or it may not cover all the pimples or other skin problems. Ok, that's it for today. Now I should really get dressed and get ready for work, enough of thinking for today. Zoran Gajic, a professional make-up artist shows that there is a way to learn the technique for your foundation to look natural, and still cover all the skin problems. It takes some time to master it, but it's what professionals do. Part 3 of 4 - How To Create an Effective Church Ministry Marketing Plan
by rima - Tuesday, 26 February 2008, 07:48 PM
Anyone in the world

By Christopher B. Nelson-Jeffers Does your church or ministry have an Evangelism plan? How effective are you at reaching prospective worshippers and members? Here are the four steps you MUST follow if you want to kick-start your growth for the next 12 months ... Step 2 - Know Your Target Audience Perhaps this (and the points that follow) should be listed first, as they are critical to the crafting of your church ministry marketing (evangelism) plan, but it is important to impress upon you the necessity of having a well-thought-out, balanced, and written plan in the first place. This point and those that follow are however all key points in the creation and execution of your evangelism and marketing plan. When asked about their target audience, churches, ministries and pastors will usually say that they want to reach EVERYBODY (after all, the Great Commission does say "to make disciples of all the nations ...", does it not?). And while it is certainly true that the gospel message is for everybody, as a church or ministry, and as a church or ministry with decidedly limited staff, time, and resources, you must start somewhere. You must strive to focus your efforts in those areas that will do the most good, or which are most supportive of your overall central vision and stated organizational mission. Not every prospective member or worshipper will read, listen, or watch the same thing, or even respond to the same message in the same way. Therefore church advertisements and marketing efforts must be tailored and customized to their intended audience or recipient. For example, a young person or youth will have different interests, perspectives, and problems than will a more senior or elderly person. What will the tone and content of your ad be? Serious? Humorous? Fun? Scholarly? Reflective? A young prospect is more likely to hear your message on a radio station playing "his" or "her" kind of music, or perhaps on the Internet, or on television, or from signs or posters in places where they hang out. They may respond to messages that offer fun, an opportunity to socialize with their friends, or that offer some source of guidance and direction to them as they attempt to find their way in the world. An older prospect may be more likely to read the newspaper, watch the news, listen to an "oldies" radio station, or read a direct mail piece. They may also respond more to a serious or reflective, inspirational message. Adults with families are likely to be concerned with bringing up their children in healthy ways, in family-oriented environments. They may be interested in participating in missions projects in the community or in other parts of the world, perhaps in response to some recent event or disaster in the news. Once you have a specific target audience in mind, or have at least broken it down into identifiable categories, you need to learn as much about each group as you can. What are they like? What do they read, listen to, or watch? What message, program, or activity will be of most interest to them? What is it about your church that they will be most interested in, and most likely to respond to? How can you make it easy for them to become involved, or to participate? Some suggested resources for helping you in gathering this information are included at the end of Part 4 of this report. You need to develop a sense of openness and a willingness to learn as much as you can about the people you most specifically and immediately want to reach. Making un-informed assumptions will not be productive, and may even be counter-productive to reaching the people in your community. For example, the needs, concerns, and culture of a poor, inner-city multi-ethnic community will be markedly different than an affluent, homogenous suburb, and different from a small-town, rural, or farming community. Demographics specialists and professional church ministry marketing consultants can help you to identify and acquire the demographic information that you need for your specific community and target audience. You can also conduct your own surveys. Just walking around the area where the people you want to reach live, work, and play, can give you a lot of information as to what is important and relevant to them, and how best to reach them. Step 3 - Match the Media Channel to the Target Audience We touched on this briefly in the paragraphs above. It is vitally important that you put some time, thought and effort into properly matching your ministry communication and marketing to the needs and preferences of the people you are trying to reach. Often, churches will produce forms of media simply because they think that they "need to" or "should", without giving much thought as to the appropriateness of the form, content, or ultimate message. One example is the ubiquitous church brochure. It seems like a good thing to have, and generally it is a good promotional tool, something to give to visitors and prospective visitors, or even to new members, but it is of little value if the target audience really doesn't like to read. Slick, expensive, pretty-looking brochures are a waste of money if they don't say anything or communicate any useful or motivational information, that would cause the reader to respond. A church website is one of the latest high-tech tools for reaching people, but what if the majority of your target audience doesn't yet have Internet access, or a computer? Newspaper, or radio ads? Which newspaper? Which section? Which day? Which radio station? What time of the day? What kind of message? The more that you know about your target audience (or target sub-group) the easier it will be to answer these questions, and the more savvy and sophisticated a buyer you will be when talking to the advertising reps at those media companies. What about billboards, or church signage? The possibilities are endless. Next: Getting Started... Christopher B. Understanding the Dynamics of Instant Loans
by rima - Tuesday, 26 February 2008, 12:33 AM
Anyone in the world

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Andrew_Baker]Andrew Baker Before taking the decision to utilise an instant loan, decide what an instant loan actually means to you. Does it mean a loan that gets you money in a single day or is it simply a loan that is approved fast? Though they appear similar, they are not. These are two entirely different cases and depending on the case specifications, are offered to borrowers. In the first case, the loan is approved quickly because of a special requirement of borrower. Borrowers, in a few cases require loan urgently. They may not have been able to maintain the desired gap between application and approval because of the uncertain nature of the expense for which the loan is needed. In spite of this, the borrower is given an instant loan, while the service charges are upped. Next are [http://www.loansfiesta.co.uk/instant_loans.html]Instant loans where the loan provider accepts that it his responsibility to approve the loan application fast, so that the borrower can instantly utilise the loan amount sanctioned. In the former class of instant loans, the lure of an extra rate of interest works in order to facilitate a fast approval. The desire on the part of the loan provider to be efficient and effective creates the latter class of instant loans. For the purpose of ease in recognition, we will refer to the first case of instant loans as fast loans and the second class of instant loans as instant loans itself. In order to make the resources available within a day, the loan provider in case of fast loans skips several steps that are involved in the normal loan processing. It must be acknowledged that there are a number of sub-processes that need to be carried out before processing the loan. Some of these like the credit check are necessary for determining the reliability of the borrower. The other set of processes, which includes property valuation (in case of secured loans only), is necessary for deciding the amount that a borrower will qualify for. Though these processes are time consuming, they are not superfluous. This explains the reason why fast loans carry a higher rate of interest. By diverting from the normal loan processes, the loan providers are creating a degree of risk involved. For an acceleration of the process of approval of instant loans, the borrower need not spend any extra penny. It is purely out of the efficacy of the loan providers that the instant loan is made possible.
